Job summary

Labcorp in Raritan, NJ is seeking a Lab Assistant to join our clinical laboratory team. The position supports routine specimen processing and requires attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include receiving and sorting specimens, preparing samples for testing, data entry, and ensuring equipment functions properly. Strong team collaboration and a careful approach to safety are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 months or more of specimen processing experience.
• 3 months or more of medical or laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis
• Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information
• Ensure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance
• Troubleshoot any specimen related issues
• Replenish test bench supplies as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards
