Job summary

Wonder is seeking a Shift Supervisor in New Haven to oversee kitchen operations and ensure top‑notch food quality and service for customers.

You will lead the restaurant team, coordinate with the chef leadership team, manage orders and deliveries, and uphold safety, sanitation, and cost controls across back‑of‑house operations. This role requires training staff, monitoring inventory, and maintaining professional leadership in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of supervising or leading team members in a QSR or full-service restaurant.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and efficiency.
• Professional conduct and adherence to policies.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be 21+ and legally eligible to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Lead restaurant team in opening, prep, and closing duties.
• Collaborate with chef leadership and other departments to ensure high service quality.
• Receive and process kitchen orders and deliveries per protocol.
• Maintain stock levels and assist with ordering.
• Enforce safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices across back-of-house areas.
• Monitor kitchen costs and ensure compliance with budget guidelines.
• Ensure safe operation and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
• Conduct briefings with front and back-of-house staff pre- and post-service.
• Uphold operating and quality standards and maintain a professional leadership style.
• Participate in training, coaching, and development for restaurant staff.
