Job summary

fairlife, LLC, a Chicago-based nutrition company, is seeking a Plant Instrument Controls Technician to maintain PLC/HMI systems and process controls in Webster, NY. The role operates on a 12-hour night shift with a 2-2-3 rotating schedule and a $2 night shift differential.

The ICT will install, troubleshoot, and optimize instrumentation, PLCs, and control networks, supporting safe, efficient production across multiple departments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years maintenance experience in industrial control system development and troubleshooting.
• Proven experience with PLCs (Allen Bradley and Siemens) and HMI/SCADA systems.
• Experience with Ethernet/IP, ProfiNet, ProfiBus, and AS-i networks.
• Strong PLC skills and ability to read engineering drawings and diagrams.
• Proficiency in English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain, and update instruments, controls, and process control networks across the plant.
• Plan, analyze, and control quality of processes as part of a team.
• Inspect and adjust PLCs, HMIs, and related equipment using test equipment and schematics.
• Install or replace instrumentation devices (sensors, transmitters) and program devices as needed.
• Install or replace control systems and monitor ongoing operation for quick fault correction.
• Train end users and provide technical guidance to junior personnel.
