Job summary

Trilliant Food & Nutrition, LLC in Little Chute, WI is hiring a Controls Technician to keep the plant running and maximize daily output. You will diagnose faults with PLC/HMI, lead operators, and support preventive maintenance during a 5:45pm–6:00am shift on a 2-2-3 schedule.

You will read electrical schematics, edit PLC logic, and tackle downtime with urgency while partnering with the Controls Engineer for escalations and improvements. Safety and documentation are emphasized daily.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical diploma in electrical technology or related field required.
• Ability to read, troubleshoot, and edit PLC code (Studio 5000/RSLogix).
• Read electrical schematics and technical documentation; follow safety practices.
• Strong problem-solving, independence and teamwork; good communication.

Responsibilities

• Respond to production issues using PLC/HMI to diagnose faults and reduce downtime.
• Provide hands-on leadership to operators and maintenance staff to maximize output.
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain control systems including PLCs, HMIs, and sensors.
• Read ladder logic and wiring diagrams to identify faults and implement repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance on control panels and automation equipment.
• Install, test, and commission new or modified control systems and upgrades.
• Document changes, parts used, and findings in the maintenance system.
• Collaborate with maintenance, operations, engineering, quality, and safety teams.
