Job summary

CJ Schwan's is seeking a Controls Technician - Night Shift to calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical instrumentation across a food manufacturing plant. You will program PLCs and manage industrial networks to support automation and production efficiency.

The role requires 5+ years in controls, expertise with PLC platforms, and proficiency in FactoryTalk/RSLogix tools. Evening shift offers a premium differential and full-time, on-site work with opportunities for

Qualifications

5+ years of industrial controls experience.
Proficient in Ethernet networking (IP addressing, switch wiring, patching).
Experience with PLC platforms PLC5, SLC500, CompactLogix, and ControlLogix.
Familiar with FactoryTalk View Studio, RSLogix500, Studio 5000, PanelView 32.

Responsibilities

Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical instrumentation across measuring, recording, and control systems.
Program, modify, and manage PLC systems using RSLogix 500, Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View Studio, and PanelView 32.
Maintain and document industrial Ethernet networks and IT/OT integration.
Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues including ladder logic editing and frequency drive programming.
Develop and implement HMI applications and optimize production efficiency.
