Job summary

RTX is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a 3rd shift role in Middletown, PA. The candidate will maintain machinery, monitor fluid systems, and perform regular preventive maintenance on production equipment.

The job requires basic mechanical and electrical aptitude, and experience with MS Office tools. Responsibilities include equipment upkeep, cleaning tasks, waste handling per EHS guidelines, and reporting defects to the supervisor.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• General mechanical and/or electrical aptitude.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and/or fluid power systems; MS Office experience (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain fluid levels in machinery, document usage, and monitor fluid inventory; operate forklifts and aerial lifts; perform pre-operational inspections.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the work area; manage washer fluids and proper labeling; handle waste materials per EHS guidelines.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled cleaning of cutting fluid tanks; remove buildup in machines and tanks; service parts washers and replace deionized water bottles.
• Use barrel vacuum systems to recover fluids; report defects and malfunctions to supervisor; comply with OSHA rules; perform preventative maintenance and basic diagnostics.
• Adhere to EH&S guidelines and wear required PPE; may perform additional tasks to support department objectives.
• Use basic hand tools, work from heights, stand for long periods, and maintain focus and dexterity.
