Job summary
RTX is seeking a maintenance technician in Middletown, NY to perform scheduled maintenance, respond to emergencies, and operate production machines onsite. The role includes MIG/TIG welding, basic machining, and blueprint reading to support manufacturing needs.
Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years of related experience, plus CNC/PLC, pneumatic, and vacuum system knowledge; 5+ years with low‑pressure plasma spray is preferred. Onsite work with overtime possible.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED and at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Preferred: CNC & PLC knowledge, A/C and refrigeration, vacuum systems.
- 5+ years of experience with 3+ years of Low-Pressure Plasma Spray.
- Knowledge of pneumatic systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular scheduled maintenance.
- Respond to production emergencies.
- Operate production machines and equipment.
- Perform MIG/TIG welding and basic machining.
- Read and troubleshoot blueprints.
- Ensure safety and follow instructions; work with minimal supervision.
