Job summary

Aerotek in Middletown, OH is hiring a Maintenance Technician (Level I) to maintain and repair industrial equipment with a focus on safety, reliability, and quality. You will handle VFDs, servo motors, pneumatics, hydraulics, and read OEM documentation to perform preventive and corrective maintenance.

The role requires basic electrical and fabrication work, basic troubleshooting, and following OEM/OSHA standards. Training on first shift is provided before transitioning to a 3rd shift schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years as a maintenance technician or in a similar role.
• Ability to understand VFD and servo motors.
• Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics in industrial setting.
• Able to read mechanical/electrical blueprints and schematics.
• Hands-on maintenance experience with conveyors and motors.
• Basic electrical skills including three‑phase power and component installation.
• Proficient in preventive maintenance and basic fault diagnosis.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency maintenance requests and perform timely repairs on industrial equipment.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance following a prescribed program and schedule.
• Install basic electrical components (switches, limit devices).
• Fabricate basic parts to support machine repair and improvement.
• Use shop tools safely to perform repairs and adjustments.
• Follow OEM manuals and documentation for setup and repair procedures.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot machine issues to address root causes.
• Maintain inventory control for parts and tools within Level I scope.
• Coordinate with supervision to complete tasks and work orders.
• Identify safety concerns and elevate them per OSHA guidelines.
