Job summary

IFS INDUSTRIES, INC. is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Reading, PA to perform routine facility maintenance, preventive maintenance, and on-call duties to ensure production uptime. The role involves troubleshooting, equipment repairs, and adherence to safety policies.

Daily tasks include preventive maintenance, repairing pumps and motors, and following up on work orders. The candidate should be able to work independently, manage spare parts, and be available for after-hours calls as needed.

Qualifications

• Proactive maintenance mindset required for preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Good organizational and communication skills are essential for coordinating work orders and interactions.
• Basic mathematical and computer skills to create and fill out web-based work orders.
• Willingness to be on-call after hours and overtime as needed.
• Technical School certifications are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance tasks on production equipment.
• Troubleshoot industrial electric and pneumatic pumps and motors.
• Repair and rebuild gear pumps and diaphragm pumps from ¾” to 3” sizes.
• Change mechanical seals in pumps.
• Align shafts for pumps.
• Carry out minor electrical work as needed.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts.
• Follow up on work orders.
• Adhere to safety regulations and policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
