Job summary

Sonoco in West Chicago, IL is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Relatability Tech to maintain and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and automation systems on a 3rd shift, with training on the 2nd shift through year end. The role requires safety-focused, hands-on work and proactive problem solving.

You will install, repair, and optimize drives, motors, and PLC logic, while documenting activities in the CMMS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (preferably with a vocational focus).
• Associate degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance or related field preferred; military experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair mechanical, electrical, robotic/automation, hydraulic, pneumatic and steam systems/equipment.
• Install/troubleshoot/maintain AC and DC drives/motors.
• Weld and fabricate as required at location.
• Document maintenance activities in CMMS for asset history.
• Adhere to safety policies and 5S standards; identify improvements to reduce risks.
