Job summary

Sonoco Products Company is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Reliability Technician I-III in Akron, IN to support maximum plant reliability through proactive maintenance and skilled troubleshooting. The role covers mechanical, electrical, robotic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and steam systems, with a focus on safety and continuous improvement.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (AS degree preferred), strong PLC and CMMS skills, and proven experience in preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated safety and maintenance skills with multi-craft capability.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Familiarity with PLC logic and electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, robotic/automation, hydraulic, pneumatic, and steam systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment, repair faults, and minimize repeat failures.
• Document maintenance history in the CMMS and communicate with operations.
• Lead or assist as Maintenance Planner as needed.
