Nashoba ED Registration Representative at UMass Memorial Health in Groton, MA (on-site) supports patient intake for Nashoba SEF and Marlborough sites. You will enter demographics, verify insurance, collect payments, and coordinate services with clinical teams for efficient ED and inpatient workflows.

Training includes EPIC usage and adherence to hospital policies. This role requires strong attention to detail, customer service focus, and the ability to work weekend/overnight shifts as posted.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business or Healthcare.
• Minimum 1-2 years of data entry experience.
• Proficient data-entry with attention to detail.
• Must navigate Windows with basic computer skills.
• Strong customer service, verbal and written.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to work in a high-volume, team environment.
• English speaking, reading, and writing skills.
• Preferred: hospital admissions, insurance, billing, scheduling or telephone customer service.
• Bilingual skills a plus.

Responsabilités

• Accurately enters demographic, insurance and related patient information.
• Verifies insurance coverage and coordinates pre-authorization and referrals.
• Works with patient liabilities and billing processes.
• Schedules Radiology, Lab and other appointments as needed.
• Handles bedside registrations for ED and Labor & Delivery.
• Maintains accurate records and patient information in systems.
• Supports patient access and revenue cycle work queues.
