Job summary

Covenant Health's Fort Sanders Regional in Knoxville is seeking a PBX Operator for the night shift on a part-time basis. You will answer and route a high volume of calls, speak with the public politely, and monitor multiple alarm panels to ensure timely paging and response.

Responsibilities include placing LD calls for physicians, paging overhead for staff, following policies and safety standards, completing required training, and performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with the public.
• Ability to handle high call volumes and multi-task.
• Follows policies, procedures and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and route to other departments.
• Monitor multiple alarm panels and code phone.
• Place LD calls for physicians.
• Page overhead for employees/page codes.
• Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

Education

HS diploma or GED preferred
