Wilson Health is seeking an Operations Center Technician for its Sidney, Ohio area. The role focuses on operating the hospital switchboard, handling a high volume of calls, and supporting daily computer operations with professional communication.

The ideal candidate has prior experience in fast-paced communications or customer service, with strong reliability, accuracy, and calmness under pressure. Third-shift, full-time, and weekend/holiday rotation are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior switchboard, call center, dispatch, hospital communications, or high-volume customer service experience preferred.
• Experience with multi-line telephone systems and paging systems preferred.
• Healthcare or hospital experience is a plus.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn multiple systems.
• Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay calm in emergencies.
• Dependable attendance and ability to work every other weekend/holiday.

Responsibilities

• Answer and manage a high volume of internal and external calls promptly and professionally.
• Transfer calls to appropriate departments, extensions, or individuals.
• Operate switchboard, paging systems, and communication consoles.
• Follow procedures for emergency codes and disaster drills.
• Monitor alarm panels and follow notification procedures.
• Maintain paging and communication logs.
• Maintain and update TigerConnect.
• Type, file, and maintain daily operating information.
• Protect confidentiality and work with discretion.
