Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous switchboard, call center, dispatch, hospital communications, or high-volume customer service experience preferred.
• Experience handling a high volume of calls and using multi-line telephone systems is preferred.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn multiple computer and communication systems.
• Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to remain calm and focused during emergencies or high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Answer and manage a high volume of internal and external calls professionally.
• Transfer calls to appropriate departments, extensions, or individuals.
• Operate switchboard equipment, paging systems, and other communication technology.
• Follow emergency procedures and disaster drills for various hospital scenarios.
• Monitor alarm panels and follow notification procedures.
• Maintain paging and communication logs and daily operating information.
• Assist with maintaining TigerConnect and related systems.
• Type, file, and maintain daily operational information.
• Ensure confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
• Prioritize multiple requests while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
