Job summary

Banner Health in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Environmental Services associate for night shift to perform heavy cleaning, floor care, carpet extraction and related projects in a hospital setting. You will respond to service requests, maintain infection control standards, operate cleaning equipment, and support a safe, sanitary environment for patients, visitors and staff.

Weekend and holiday rotations apply; sign-on bonus available if eligible.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of diversified environmental service work experience in healthcare or institutional setting
• operates typical industrial cleaning equipment
• basic math skills
• effective oral and written communication
• ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities
• role model for customer service and infection control

Responsibilities

• Perform heavy cleaning and floor care, including carpet cleaning, stripping/refinishing, and burnishing
• operate and maintain power cleaning equipment and respond to cleaning requests
• maintain infection control standards and hand hygiene
• log and report equipment status and repairs
• provide on-the-job training and leadership for less experienced staff
• conduct scheduled floor care and chemical mixing as required
• coordinate with supervisors and facilities staff to ensure safety and cleanliness
