Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking an Admitting Representative in Buena Park, CA to support hospital admissions. The role focuses on collecting demographic and insurance details, ensuring accurate records for billing, and coordinating pre-certifications as needed.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, 0–2 years in a medical or high-volume service setting, and a current or recruitable BLS certification. This is a part-time on-site position with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required (or equivalent).
• 0–2 years of medical or customer service experience with data entry.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Ability to complete AVADE training within 30 days from start date.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and verify demographic and financial information from patients and offices.
• Obtain signatures on consents and insurance forms.
• Enter data and update patient files; ensure accuracy for billing and clinical records.
• Notify patients or families of insurance issues, co-pays, deductibles, or deposits.
• Review orders for completion and Medicare compliance; obtain ABN if required.
• Maintain multiple computer systems and provide timely customer service.
• Answer calls using pre-established script and assist callers.
• Complete shift duties timely and accurately; follow safety policies.
