Job summary

• Minimum of 3 years experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, backhoes or similar.
• Must pass a written and operational test to be certified to operate each piece of heavy equipment.
• Hazardous waste training within six months of employment or assignment.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with regulations and company policies.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and document results.
• Perform routine maintenance such as lubrication, fueling and cleaning of equipment.
• Execute site preparation, earth moving, landscaping and related tasks as needed.
• Interact professionally with internal and external customers.
• Carry out on-site roll-off work to switch waste compactors as required.
• Move trailers on-site using the yard tractor and manage hazardous waste safely.
