Job summary

Standard Construction Company, Inc., a CRH company, is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to service and repair heavy equipment and trucks. The role requires diagnosing malfunctions, replacing engines and sub-assemblies, and ensuring equipment operates efficiently in field and shop environments.

The ideal candidate will have a two-year technical certificate and extensive diesel/heavy equipment experience, with willingness to travel, work nights/weekends, and adhere to OSHA/MSHA safety

Qualifications

• Two year certificate from college or technical school preferred.
• Extensive experience in truck and heavy equipment maintenance and repair, including diesels, hydraulic systems and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Work in a team environment with other co-workers and managers.
• Analyze malfunctions and repairs, rebuild and maintain equipment including heavy construction equipment.
• Operate and inspect machines and equipment to diagnose defects.
• Replace defective engines and sub-assemblies, such as transmissions, electric motors, drums, seals, hydraulic pumps, valves, pistons, rods, gears, etc.
• Test overhauled equipment to ensure operating efficiency.
• May direct workers engaged in cleaning parts and assisting with assembly and disassembly of equipment.
