Job summary

APAC Mississippi, Inc., a CRH company, is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our maintenance team and keep heavy construction equipment in top condition. You will inspect, repair, replace engines and sub-assemblies, weld, and ensure safety procedures are followed to support operations.

Two-year certificate preferred; pre-employment drug screen, background check, and I-9 documentation required. Travel, night shifts, and weekends may be required; CDL is preferred.

Qualifications

• Pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Provide valid I-9 immigration documentation.
• CDL preferred; CDL class A preferred.
• Willing to travel and work nights and weekends when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Analyze malfunctions and repairs, rebuild and maintain heavy construction equipment.
• Operate and inspect machines to diagnose defects.
• Dismantle and reassemble equipment using hoists and hand tools.
• Replace defective engines and sub-assemblies such as transmissions and hydraulic pumps.
• Test overhauled equipment for operating efficiency and weld broken parts as needed.
