Job summary

Alaska Marine Trucking is seeking a Heavy Diesel Technician/Mechanic for the night shift to maintain our fleet of lift trucks, tractors, and chassis in Juneau, AK. This full-time role offers overtime, a competitive pay package, and strong growth opportunities.

The successful candidate will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose electrical and hydraulic systems, and work with our M&R software. Certification in forklift operation and CDL-related qualifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; experience on heavy-duty equipment preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of hydraulic and DC electrical systems; ability to read schematics.
• Welder experienced in MIG and stick; able to troubleshoot electric over hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform general preventative maintenance and fluid changes.
• Learn and use our M&R software; maintain forklift certifications.
• Support major component swaps and inspections as needed.
• Ensure shop safety and maintain clean work practices.
