Job summary

Alaska Marine Trucking is hiring a night shift Mechanic in Juneau, Alaska. This full-time role offers competitive wages, benefits, overtime, and opportunities for professional growth.

Work is 3:00pm–3:00am Monday through Thursday with a $3.00/hr shift differential. Responsibilities include maintaining heavy-duty equipment, performing component swaps, and conducting inspections in compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations.

Qualifications

• Provide maintenance on heavy-duty equipment such as tractors, trailers, forklifts.
• Assist with major component swaps like hydraulic pumps, engines and transmissions.
• Must be able to obtain TWIC card.
• Perform inspections per DOT and FMCSA regulations.
• Carry out duties with a strong commitment to customer service.
• Be punctual and ready to work.
• Detail oriented with good communications and organizational skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
• Willing to travel short distances and work in outside weather conditions.
