Job summary

Alaska Marine Trucking, part of the Lynden family of companies, is seeking a night shift Mechanic in Juneau, Alaska. This full-time role offers family-friendly benefits, a competitive pay package, growth opportunities, and ample overtime.

Qualifications

• Maintenance on heavy-duty equipment (tractors, trailers, forklifts)
• Must possess TWIC or be able to obtain TWIC
• DOT/FMCSA compliance inspections
• Able to lift up to 50–100 pounds and work in varying conditions
• Willingness to travel short periods and work around moving parts

What You Will Be Doing

• Provide maintenance on heavy-duty equipment, ie: tractors, trailers, forklifts, etc.
• Assist with major component swaps like hydraulic pumps, engines and transmissions.
• Must be able to apply and be issued a TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Card).
• Perform inspections in compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is regularly exposed to fumes, airborne particles, vibration, toxic or caustic chemicals, wet, and/or humid conditions and occasionally works in high, precarious places.
