Job summary

Hickory Recovery in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Floor Nurse (LPN/RN) for night shift to provide care for adults with addictions and behavioral health issues. The role reports to the Director of Nursing and is a full-time night shift position.

Responsibilities include comprehensive physical health assessments, planning care with physician orders, medications, education, and treatments, while ensuring HIPAA compliance and high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Valid LPN or RN license from an accredited nursing program.
• Prior hospital and behavioral health experience preferred.
• BLS certification within 1 month prior to hire.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Professional appearance and attitude.
• Impeccable ethics and customer relations skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills.
• Computer literacy and EMR use.
• Knowledge of best practices in behavioral medicine.
• Sound clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
• Understand the needs of the clientele.

Responsibilities

• Performs admission nursing assessment.
• Performs intake assessments.
• Monitors and evaluates medical needs.
• Performs CIWA and COWS appropriately.
• Assesses and manages pain; knowledgeable about pain management.
• Performs urinalysis and pregnancy screens.
• Monitors glucose levels.
• Administers two-step Tuberculin PPD test.
• Performs COVID-19 testing.
