Job summary

UPS in Redmond, Washington is seeking a reliable Automotive Mechanic to join our fleet maintenance team. The Automotive Technician will service a diverse range of equipment including delivery vehicles, heavy‑duty trucks, and trailers, with diesel, gasoline, and alternative propulsion tech.

You will troubleshoot hydraulic brakes, electrical systems, and engine controls. The role requires 3–5 years of journeyman experience, DOT inspection ability, and comfort with night shifts (6:00 p.m.–2:30

Qualifications

• 3–5 years journeyman automotive mechanic experience with medium/heavy-duty vehicles.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools and PC.
• Experience performing DOT inspections on trucks.
• Willing to work the night shift: 6:00 p.m. – 2:30 a.m., Monday–Friday.

Responsibilities

• Meets D.O.T requirements for the assignment.
• Bends, stoops, squats, kneels, crouches, crawls, climbs ladders and stairs, stands, walks, and turns/pivots frequently throughout the workday.
• Sits infrequently as required.
• Operates standard and manual transmission.
• Operates power and pneumatic tools.
