UPS Supply Chain Solutions, Inc. in New York, NY invites experienced Automotive Mechanics to join our fleet maintenance team.

The Automotive Technician will service a diverse range of equipment including delivery vehicles, heavy-duty tractors, and trailers, with diesel, gasoline, and alternative powertrains. The role emphasizes diagnosing and repairing hydraulic brakes, electrical systems, and engine controls.

Qualifications

• Active driver's license issued by the state.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Willing to work 7:30 p.m.–4:00 a.m. shift, Monday-Friday.
• Must possess the required hand tools to perform the job.
• CDL Class A or B strongly preferred; willing to obtain within the first year 2 months.
• NYS inspection certification strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meets D.O.T requirements by job assignment.
• Bends, stoops, squats, kneels, climbs ladders and stairs, stands and walks frequently.
• Sits infrequently as required.
• Operates standard and manual transmission vehicles.
• Uses power and pneumatic tools.
• Troubleshoots and maintains propulsion, hydraulic brakes, electrical systems and engine controls.
