UPS in New York, NY is seeking a reliable Automotive Mechanic to join our fleet maintenance team. You will maintain delivery vehicles, heavy-duty tractors, and trailers, using diagnostic tools and working with various propulsion systems including diesel, gas, and alternative technologies.

The role requires DOT compliance, the ability to operate manual transmissions, use power tools, and meet safety standards. NYS license and CDL preferred; union-scale pay and comprehensive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years automotive mechanic experience with diesel and gas medium/heavy-duty vehicles.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools and PC.
• Hands-on fleet repair and/or dealership experience.
• Experience performing DOT inspections.
• Reliable with punctual attendance and flexible shifts.

Responsabilités

• Meets D.O.T requirements as per job assignment.
• Operate standard and manual transmission vehicles.
• Use power and pneumatic tools to complete repairs.
• Work across diverse vehicle types including delivery trucks, tractors, and trailers.
