Job summary

Avery Dennison is seeking a Finishing Team Manager for the night shift in Painesville, OH. You will supervise day-to-day finishing operations, guide ~20 hourly team members, and drive safety, quality, and cost improvements while maintaining strong cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of operations experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with delegation and teamwork to achieve operational results.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and implement preventive solutions.
• Effective communication, interpersonal and presentation skills with diverse workforce.
• Preferred qualifications include: Bachelor’s degree and experience with Lean/Six Sigma, ISO 9000, TS 16949, or project management.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily activities of ~20 team members including mentoring, counseling, performance management, and corrective action.
• Facilitate Tier I reviews, update metrics, and drive improvements for safety, cost, losses, quality and efficiency.
• Drive safety culture by conducting audits, investigating incidents, and ensuring safe policies.
• Identify root causes and countermeasures for downtime, delays and quality defects.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality and Process Engineering; ensure shift production report accuracy and communicate downtime.
