Job summary

Avery Dennison in Ohio is seeking a dynamic Coating Team Manager to lead the night shift, ensuring safety, quality, service and cost targets are met. You will supervise 15–20 hourly associates on a rotating 12‑hour schedule from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am on-site in Painesville.

You’ll drive coaching, performance reviews and daily problem-solving with a Lean/Six Sigma mindset, collaborating with Maintenance, Quality and Process Engineering to sustain 5S and strong housekeeping practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in manufacturing supervision and team coaching.
• Experience leading 12-hour night shifts and weekend coverage.
• Strong communication and leadership across diverse teams.
• Lean, ISO 9000, TS 16949 or Six Sigma experience.
• Ability to conduct safety audits and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day production and 15–20 hourly associates.
• Lead night shift operations from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am on-site in Painesville.
• Drive safety, quality, cost and productivity metrics across the team.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, and Process Engineering teams.
• Maintain 5S and Good Housekeeping standards.
