Job summary

Avery Dennison is seeking a Finishing Line Packer in Ohio to support the finishing department. You will pack slit rolls to spec, operate the manual packaging line, band, label, and prepare cores for operators.

The role emphasizes strict safety, quality, and teamwork on a 12-hour 2-2-3 night schedule (11pm–7am, Monday–Friday). You will participate in continuous improvement and 5S activities while maintaining accurate inventory records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Follow written and oral instructions with accuracy.
• Commitment to safety as a core value and lead by example.
• Desire to learn, cross-train and share knowledge with team.
• Willingness to work overtime, including short-notice requests.
• Proficient with inventory tracking systems and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety policies.
• Sort, label, and package finished goods per customer specs and quality standards.
• Inspect product appearance to ensure quality.
• Prepare cores for machine operators and keep packaging materials stocked.
• Communicate information to shift/department personnel to ensure smooth operations.
• Track orders being packed and support continuous improvement activities.
• Participate in 5S activities and safety initiatives.
• Assist in equipment maintenance as directed.
