Job summary

Building & Earth Sciences, Inc. is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Technician - Level I in Dunn, NC.

The role involves field testing of soil, concrete, grout, mortar and asphalt, observation on site, and documentation of results according to project specs. Candidates must have at least 6 months of experience, a current ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Level I Certification, and be able to work night shifts and weekends as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months experience.
• ACI Level I certification required.
• Portable Nuclear Gauge Safety Certification required.
• Understanding of Proctor test and USCS soil classification.
• Trained in One-Point Proctor field testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform tests, inspections and observations per project requirements.
• Submit daily field reports documenting testing and observations.
• Maintain, calibrate and operate field testing equipment.
• Transport and care for nuclear density gauge per policy.
• Identify and communicate non-conforming items to supervision.
