Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking a Feed Mill Operator to tend, operate, and oversee all mill areas—receiving, batching, production floor, and loadout—to ensure quality, productivity, and safety. Compensation is $19.25 per hour with 12-hour night shifts.

You will follow SOPs, operate equipment, generate reports, manage inventory, and maintain a safe work environment while complying with environmental and EMS policies. Relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read and understand safety rules and manuals.
• Must be able to work 50 hour weeks including nights, holidays and weekends.
• Ability to read and speak English.
• Basic computer skills desired.

Responsibilities

• Operate and oversee all feed mill areas following SOPs.
• Maintain shift activity and production reports.
• Regulate material flow to meet product specs.
• Perform daily inventory of feed and ingredients.
• Keep designated areas clean and support other areas.
• Ensure safety of employees and assets.
