Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking a Feed Mill Operator to tend, operate and oversee all mill areas, ensuring quality, productivity and safety through established procedures. You will handle receiving, batching, production floor and loadout duties.

Responsibilities include following SOPs, operating equipment, preparing reports, managing inventory, maintaining clean, safe work areas, and acquiring necessary certifications.

Qualifications

• Must read and understand safety rules and manuals.
• Able to read English documents and procedures.
• Willing to perform varied mill duties across areas.
• Able to work overtime including nights and weekends.
• Comfortable with physical labor and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs and batch control procedures.
• Operate equipment such as grinders, forklifts, and computers.
• Prepare shift and production reports.
• Maintain inventory of ingredients and finished products.
• Keep work areas clean and maintain safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with ISO22000 and environmental policies.
