Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking a Feed Mill Operator to manage and oversee operations in the mill, including batching, production floor, and loadout, ensuring quality, productivity and safety. The role offers a $19.25 hourly wage with 12-hour night shifts and relocation package options where applicable.

The position requires operating equipment, maintaining records, ensuring environmental and safety compliance, and supporting teammates in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read and understand documents such as safety rules and procedures.
• Ability to read and speak English.
• Must be able to work extended hours including nights, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Follows standard operating instructions for all operator areas.
• Operates equipment in all areas including grinders and forklifts.
• Prepares shift activity and production reports and reconciliations.
• Regulates flow of materials to achieve target products.
• Performs daily feed, bulk and micro ingredient inventory.
• Maintains safety and cleans designated areas; supports colleagues.
