Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking an Extrusion Night Shift Supervisor to lead a manufacturing team on the 6PM-6AM schedule. You will supervise hourly associates, drive safety, quality, and environmental performance, and implement lean manufacturing concepts across the shift.

Responsibilities include staffing optimization, coaching, and overseeing line operations while maintaining adherence to policies and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology, Management, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of supervisory/leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Relevant experience in sheet extrusion strongly preferred for extrusion facilities, fenestration experience strongly preferred for windows facilities.
• Highly developed oral and written communication skills, with ability to educate and train operators/technicians.
• Team leadership and mentorship capabilities with plant leadership.
• Proficient in extrusion operation and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate manufacture of building products to meet production demands while ensuring quality, safety and environmental responsibility.
• Develop staffing guidelines to maximize manpower while controlling costs.
• Hire, supervise, evaluate and replace staff to meet objectives.
• Develop and train teammates for higher responsibilities and conduct annual performance reviews.
• Lead safety and production briefings with shift meetings.
• Train personnel in tooling, troubleshooting, machine setup, changeover and safety procedures.
• Provide coaching and corrective action following company guidelines.
• Promote continuous process improvement and use SPC to control processes.
