Job summary

Three D Metals is seeking a night shift supervisor for the production department to lead a growing team. The role requires energetic leadership, hands-on oversight, and a proactive approach to safety and efficiency on Sunday night through Thursday night 7:30 PM to 6:00 AM.

You will coordinate production schedules, monitor quality, train staff, enforce safety rules, and collaborate with other supervisors to meet daily targets and continuous improvement goals.

Qualifications

• Able to discern numbers for weights and measurements, using calculator, tape measure, calipers and scales.
• Forklift Trainer Certified
• Self-motivated and committed to safety as demonstrated through previous work
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on, team environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Comfortable making decisions

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods.
• Works closely with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments and shifts.
• Plans and establishes work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
• Inspects materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
• Observes work and monitors gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards.
• Conducts employee training in equipment operations or work and safety procedures, or assigns training to experienced workers.
• Enforces safety regulations and best practices are followed.
• Reviews monthly performance of all employees with the plant manager.
• Interprets specifications, job orders, and company policies for workers.
• Keeps records of employees' timecards and time off.
• Reads and analyzes charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records to determine production requirements and evaluate outputs.
• Requisitions materials, supplies, equipment parts, or repair services.
• Assists in determining standards and production goals based on policies, equipment and labor availability.
• Recommends measures to motivate employees and improve production methods, safety, quality, or efficiency.
• Recommends personnel actions such as hiring, evaluation, or promotion.
• Assists in planning and development of new products and production processes.
