Job summary

Nutex Health is hiring an Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) for PRN night shifts (19:00 - 07:00). The RN will perform comprehensive patient assessments, triage, and emergency care for all ages, while coordinating with physicians and supervising ER staff.

Responsibilities include medication administration, infection control, patient advocacy, and ongoing professional development to ensure high-quality care and safety in a fast-paced ED environment.

Qualifications

• Two years of emergency room experience.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure with the State Board of Nurse Examiners for their state.
• Current BCLS/CPR, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and TNCC preferred.
• English reading/writing/speaking proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and perform head-to-toe exams and triage.
• Administer medications following the five rights.
• Supervise ER Technicians and other staff for efficient workflow.
• Collaborate with physicians on care plans and patient education.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards.
• Engage in ongoing education and quality improvement.
