Qualifications

• Two years of emergency room experience.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Licensure with the State Board of Nurse Examiners for their state.
• Current BCLS/CPR, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and TNCC preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients upon arrival with head-to-toe and psychosocial evaluations to determine severity.
• Triage patients and assign categories for timely care based on urgency.
• Provide care to patients of all ages following established protocols.
• Administer medications accurately, observing the five rights.
• Supervise ERTs and other staff to maintain efficient workflow.
• Explain procedures and plans to patients and families for education and support.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to develop and implement care plans.
• Maintain infection control practices to ensure patient safety.
• Engage in ongoing education and quality improvement initiatives.
