Job summary

Banner Boswell Medical Center in Sun City, AZ, is seeking an experienced RN for the full-time night shift (6pm-6:30am) in the Emergency Department. The ED treats adults and pediatrics with a 56-bed unit and Level 4 Trauma Center status. Excellent benefits and a self-scheduling tool are available.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure.
• BLS certification is required.
• Minimum of one year acute care experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Experience in the specialty area during the past 12 months as an RN.
• If Home Health, operate a personal vehicle and possess a valid driver's license.
• Auto insurance coverage must be active and maintained.
• Arizona fingerprint clearance card requirements may apply to some Banner facilities.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental and discharge planning needs.
• Formulate and update the plan of care with patient/family input and medical plan of care.
• Implement care with physician orders, supervise care by licensed staff and communicate status to caregivers.
• Evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans as needed with the care team.
• Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record.
• Promote evidence-based care and participate in education and orientation of staff.
