Job summary

Banner Boswell Medical Center in Sun City, AZ, seeks an Emergency Department Technician for the night shift (6p–6a). The ED treats adults and select pediatric cases, staffed by a multidisciplinary team in a 42-bed ED with Level 4 trauma designation.

Responsibilities include patient care under supervision, EKGs, specimen collection, and assisting with procedures. The role requires EMT-B or higher licensure or CNA, BLS certification, high school diploma, and solid communication and problem-solving

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• BLS certification required.
• EMT-B or higher with state licensure or state certification, or CNA, required for new hires and transfers.
• Basic computer skills and effective communication required.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision of RN/Physician, performs EKGs, wound cleansing, vital signs, specimen collection, and transports stable patients.
• Assists with patient exams and minor procedures; prepares exam area and equipment.
• Documents vital signs, care provided, and communicates changes to care team.
• Monitors supply levels, maintains equipment, and assists with department coordination.
