Job summary

VEG is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line team delivering fast, compassionate care during emergencies. You will work with doctors on a wide range of cases, from triage to critical care, providing nursing care, diagnostics, anesthesia, and monitoring while supporting pet parents.

Ideal candidates have an AVMA-accredited program, a current CVT/RVT/LVMT/LVT credential, and 1+ year of emergency or specialty experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree or higher in veterinary technology preferred.
• Credential as CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT in the practice state required; VTS in ECC a plus.
• 1+ year in veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 25 kg and tolerate noisy, odorous environments.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support from triage to discharge.
• Assist with diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Perform CPR and utilize advanced techniques (IVs, CRIs, transfusions).
• Operate diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and tube placement.
• Collaborate with doctors and maintain clear communication within the team.
