Job summary

Mercy Health’s St. Rita's Medical Center is seeking a Protective Services Dispatcher for the night shift.

You will manage the hospital’s protective services dispatch center, coordinating emergency and non-emergency calls, monitoring multi-line communications, CCTV, and alarm systems while supporting field units and maintaining accurate logs. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years in security/dispatch.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of experience in security and/or telephone operations/dispatch preferred.
• Ability to type 35–40 wpm.

Responsibilities

• Receive, coordinate, and disseminate critical information from emergency and non-emergency calls.
• Maintain radio contact with field units and relay information to responding personnel.
• Operate multi-line telephone systems and dispatch appropriate personnel.
• Monitor alarms and CCTV; respond per hospital protocols.
• Document unit activities and maintain logs in the dispatch system.
