Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Protective Services Dispatcher in Springfield Regional Medical Center to support emergency and non-emergency dispatch operations. You will manage multi-channel radio communications, monitor CAD systems, and provide exceptional customer service to patients, staff, and callers.

Duties include coordinating incidents, logging information, and guiding responders while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy under pressure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years security/dispatch experience preferred.
• Ability to type 35-40 wpm accurately.
• Experience with multi-line phone systems and radio dispatch.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Receive, coordinate, and disseminate critical information; monitor radio and dispatch units.
• Prioritize emergencies and dispatch appropriate personnel per procedures.
• Monitor alarms and CCTV; respond according to hospital protocols.
• Document unit status and logs in the dispatch system.
• Assist callers and provide resources as needed.
