Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Protective Services Dispatcher at St. Rita's Medical Center to coordinate emergency and non-emergency calls, operate a multi-channel radio system, and support hospital security operations.

You will monitor alarms and CCTV, relay critical information to field units, document incidents and time-stamps, and provide courteous, professional service to patients, staff and visitors while upholding Mercy Health's values and ensuring rapid, accurate responses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of experience in security/dispatch preferred.
• Able to type 35-40 wpm and document under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Receive, coordinate, and disseminate critical information from calls for service.
• Maintain radio contact with mobile/field units to monitor response and progress.
• Relay descriptions and information to field units regarding suspects, incidents, or requests.
• Monitor alarms, CCTV, access control, and other security systems and respond per procedures.
• Document and maintain logs of units dispatched and times of arrival.
