Job summary

Sharp Tri-City Medical Center is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician for the night shift. The EMT will assist RNs/physicians with procedures, care for patients from infants to adults, and help with splinting, transport, and equipment checks. A clean BLS certification and EMT or Paramedic credentials are required.

Two years of ED experience are preferred, with NVCI certification due within 90 days of hire. Enjoy a stable part-time night schedule under a CBA framework.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification in EMT or Paramedic required.
• Must maintain NVCI certification within 90 days of hire.
• Current San Diego County EMT or Paramedic certification is required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN/PA/MD with simple procedures.
• Provide care for infants and children and adults as appropriate.
• Assist with splinting, casting, immobilizing of extremities.
• Transport patients to and from the ED as needed.
• Perform routine equipment checks and maintain logs.
