Job summary

UCI Health is seeking an Emergency Department Staff Nurse Leader to oversee clinical functions, quality of nursing practice, and care standards. You will coordinate patient care by directing unit staff, ensuring throughput and maintaining expert clinical practice in a fast-paced ED.

The role requires RN with BSN, Emergency Nursing Certification, and at least 4 years in leadership with strong English communication. Shift flexibility including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• RN Specialty Certification in Emergency Nursing or an Acute Care Certification.
• Minimum of 4 years of leadership roles/responsibilities in the last 3 years.
• Minimum of 4 years recent clinical nursing experience in an emergency department or 4 years of Medical Surgical Telemetry with 1 year in ED.

Responsibilities

• Oversees clinical functions and delivery of patient care in the ED.
• Directs staff on unit and manages patient throughput.
• Acts as role model and clinical resource for staff and patients.
