Job summary

Boston Medical Center’s Emergency Services seeks an ED Technician to support nursing staff with patient care and environmental tasks. Responsibilities include monitoring vitals, assisting with oxygen therapy, ECG leads, and basic wound care.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least 1 year of related experience; Nursing Aide certification is preferred and BLS is required. The position is based in Brighton with a 36-hour nightly schedule, including every other weekend.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of related technical experience preferred.
• Nursing Aide Certification preferred; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Provide and assist with physical care and environmental support as delegated by RN.
• Obtain O2 saturation and administer O2 therapy as prescribed.
• Apply telemetry leads and perform 12 lead ECGs as directed.
• Assist with patient positioning, comfort, and basic care tasks.
• Transports patients and equipment; assists in specimen collection and basic testing.
