Job summary

Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital’s Emergency Department is hiring a Full Time Nights ED Technician (7P-7A). The role assists clinicians in implementing care plans for emergency patients and performs procedures under supervision.

Requirements include HS diploma or GED and BLS within 90 days. EMT-B or clinical program enrollment options exist; one year healthcare experience is preferred. Competitive base pay and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• One year healthcare experience preferred.
• Candidates may qualify by alternate criteria (EMT-B, Military Hospital Corps School, or clinical program enrollment).

Responsibilities

• Assist Physicians, Advanced Practitioners, or Nurses in implementing plans of care for emergency/minor emergency patients.
• Perform patient procedures and treatments under supervision.
• Support de-escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days of hire.
