Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) is seeking an Emergency Department Technician for the Adult ED. You will work under RN supervision to provide direct clinical and support services, contributing to patient- and family-centered care in a fast-paced ED setting.

Responsibilities include vital signs, hygiene assistance, wound care support, and environment safety. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, BLS/CPR, and either ED tech or EMT experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS/CPR certification required or obtained within 30 days.
• Ability to pass clinical competency testing.
• Prior ED technician, EMT, or nursing program rotation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform delegated patient care interventions in the ED.
• Obtain vital signs, assist with hygiene, dressing wounds, and support patient comfort.
• Maintain safe, clean ED environment and assist with inventories.
• Support efficient ED operations and patient/family outcomes.
