Job summary

Actalent in Belcamp, MD is seeking a Distillation Technician to operate specialized distillation equipment and produce target compounds from raw materials.

You will ensure precise temperature control, document GMP/SOP-compliant batch records, perform data entry in internal tracking systems, and support quality control testing.

This contract-to-hire role runs on the 1:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. shift, Monday through Friday, with safety and accuracy emphasized in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Must operate distillation equipment in GMP/SOP environments.
• Accurately complete batch records per GMP/SOP requirements.
• Perform temperature checks and maintain process parameters.
• Record data precisely in internal tracking systems.
• Handle chemicals safely during batch making and blending.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor distillation equipment for target compounds and batches.
• Conduct temperature checks and keep parameters within limits.
• Complete batch records in compliance with GMP/SOPs.
• Carry out calculations for product specs and process parameters.
• Prepare samples for quality control testing and inspect products.
• Document all process data and maintain accurate records.
• Use computer systems to manage data in production records.
• Collaborate with colleagues to meet production goals.
• Adhere to safety, quality and compliance requirements.
